The Marion family’s involvement in construction begins in 1941 when A.C. Marion works as a carpenter on the Camp Crowder project in Neosho, Missouri—one of the region’s most significant wartime construction efforts. This early exposure to large-scale, mission-critical construction established a foundation built on discipline, craftsmanship, and accountability.

Following Camp Crowder, A.C. Marion continues building across residential and commercial projects, earning a reputation for integrity and quality execution. In 1962, Dale Marion formalizes these efforts by establishing Dale Marion Construction, expanding services across residential, agricultural, and light commercial construction throughout the Midwest.

The formation of M&M Construction Company in 1973 marks a strategic expansion into speculative construction, custom building, and mechanical services. This period strengthens operational capabilities across plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems—experience that continues to inform CSG’s integrated project delivery approach.
During this period, the Marion leadership plays a key role in the growth of a regional commercial contractor, establishing and managing a full mechanical division while delivering increasingly complex commercial projects. Chris Marion advances into executive leadership, driving improvements in project management, estimating, safety, purchasing, and human resources, while helping expand design-build and construction management delivery models.

The Marion Company, LLC is established, launching Construction Services Group (CSG) with a clear strategic focus: delivering design-build and construction management services through a client-centric, performance-driven model. The firm is built on decades of commercial construction experience and a commitment to accountability and long-term partnerships.

Following completion of contractual obligations, CSG begins executing projects, quickly establishing itself as a trusted regional partner for negotiated and repeat commercial work.

CSG moves into its corporate headquarters, supporting operational expansion, enhanced project delivery capabilities, and sustained growth.

CSG opens an Arkansas office in Bentonville, strategically positioning the firm to support the rapidly growing commercial, industrial, and development markets in Northwest Arkansas. This expansion reflects CSG’s commitment to regional clients and its ability to scale alongside their needs.

With construction experience spanning more than eight decades and now entering its 21st year as Construction Services Group, CSG delivers proven leadership, financial stability, and consistent results across commercial, industrial, and design-build projects.
